PACCAR Parts opens new parts distribution center

PACCAR Parts’ new parts distribution center (PDC) in Louisville, Kentucky, is now fully operational. The 260,000-square-foot facility will offer next-day delivery and has the capacity to store over 80,000 parts.

The distribution center is PACCAR Parts’ 18th PDC, increasing global capacity to more than 3.4 million square feet of warehouse space. PACCAR Parts says its PDCs include stock-picking equipment with built-in weigh scales, voice-directed picking technology and an automated banding conveyance system to boost order fulfillment.

The Louisville PDC features warehouse air conditioning and includes a 50-person training room and an interactive “PACCAR Parts Experience” that showcases PACCAR Parts’ distribution network, products and services to visitors.
