Phillips Industries introduces interior corner lights with motion detection for dry vans and reefers

Utility Trailer Manufacturing Co. selected these new lights as their standard interior trailer lights for their refrigerated trailers.

Phillips Industries has introduced the Permalite Apex and Permalite Apex Motion interior corner trailer lights for dry vans and refrigerated trailers. Additionally, Utility Trailer Manufacturing Co. selected these new lights as their standard interior trailer lights for their refrigerated trailers.

Phillips says that the lights are manufactured with BoardFree technology that eliminates the need for a Printed Circuit Board (PCB), which helps the lights’ resistance to liquids, chemicals, corrosion, shocks and impacts.

The lights meet the highest IP67 and IP69K standards. Each light has over 600 lumens, and draws .5 amps of current, making it possible to put 10 or more lamps on a standard circuit.

The Permalite Apex Motion comes with a sensor with a five-minute shutoff, which automatically controls the on/off function for a single or multiple light modules wired in series utilizing a plug-and-play design. The motion sensor has a maximum continuous current of 11 amps and overcurrent and over-voltage protection. The placement of the sensors is customizable. LED status lights indicate incoming power to the sensor as well as 12V output when motion is detected for easy setup. Motion detection angle is 120 degrees.
