R H Sheppard said it has recently added video service instructions to its website, detailing exactly how to repair the company’s steering gears. These videos show basic gear operation, troubleshooting and various repair procedures and can be seen on the company’s website by clicking on the “service” tab, then “videos.”
All of the videos are designed to help service technicians install and/or repair a wide array of parts that R H Sheppard has to offer. “This doesn’t take the place of the tech hotline, it has been created to enhance the tech hotline,” said Mike Long, field service manager. “We thought it would be a great option for service techs to be able to view the procedures and information online, as sometimes pictures are better than words. We really hope people will use the videos, it’s kind of like training them without being there.”
