Snap-on offers new Software Value Plan

Snap-on said its new Software Value Plan, available for VERUS, VERDICT, MODIS and SOLUS Series customers in the U.S. and Canada, offers a full year of diagnostic software upgrades at one low price, making the most current diagnostic coverage more affordable.

According to Snap-on, its new Software Value Plan offers a full year of diagnostic software upgrades at one low price, making the most current diagnostic coverage more affordable. The program is available for VERUS, VERDICT, MODIS and SOLUS Series customers in the U.S. and Canada who currently have Software Bundle 11.2 or older.

With the plan, payments are spread over 52 weeks, saving customers up to 20% over other purchase methods, the company said, adding that shops and technicians can achieve “Loyalty” status and receive special pricing on future regular upgrades.

“For customers who may not have upgraded in a while, the Software Value Plan is the perfect program to get them back on track with ongoing Asian and domestic vehicle coverage throughout the year at a very special plan price and the lowest weekly payments available,” said Leian Wunderlich, program manager for Snap-on Diagnostics. “This program helps customers to keep their Snap-on scan tool up to date today, tomorrow and into the future so they can save time on the job and confidently work on more vehicles every day.”

The plan offers Software Bundle 12.2, which includes brand new Suzuki 2000-11 coverage for engine, transmission, antilock brakes and airbags, plus new 2011 model year coverage for Acura, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Lincoln, Mitsubishi and more. The bundle features more than 50,400 new codes, tests, tips and data, according to the maker.

In addition, Snap-on diagnostic tools equipped with the optional European coverage available for Software Bundle 12.2 help technicians to take on jobs such as general repair, driveability, body control and suspension issues for Audi, BMW, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Volvo and Smart Car, the company noted.
