Squarerigger Software said its Revolution Tire Management System (TMS) takes both tread depth and tire pressure readings using its wireless tire probe and sends them via a Bluetooth signal to the Inspector wireless handheld PC.
The handheld also has a built-in barcode scanner for easy tire and vehicle identification. The company works with Tire-Track LLC, which supplies the permanent all-rubber barcodes. These barcodes have many uses, including quick vehicle and tire identification and performing inspections on multi-part heavy haul trailers and truck trailer combos, Squarerigger said.
This information is transmitted wirelessly to the customers’ database when an inspection is completed. There’s no need to dock, link or sync the handheld, as it happens automatically. It can even be taken out of its service area and will simply send everything up the moment it returns, Squarerigger added. The back end software system tracks everything from tire costs (from purchase to disposal), to tire locations on vehicles, tire movement, cost per mile and much more. It also has an extensive reports system that allows users to generate detailed reports in seconds, the company said.
