Truck-Lite has multi-faceted training for CSA compliance

The training program, titled "For CSA, Choose Wisely - Choose Truck-Lite," will help fleets make the right lighting choices. Some of the materials will include a CSA and lighting brochure with FMCSA regulations, a dedicated website with frequently asked CSA lighting questions, and onsite customer training materials.

Truck-Lite has announced the release of a multi-faceted training program, “For CSA, Choose Wisely – Choose Truck-Lite.”

“Vehicle lighting is a prominent area of emphases in the CSA vehicle maintenance category, acting as a flag to enforcement and potentially leading to a vehicle review. The importance in specifying and using reliable and trustworthy products should be given significant attention,” said Truck-Lite’s vice president of marketing, Bob Ives. “At Truck-Lite, we don’t just sell you a light, we work with you to provide lighting solutions and training that gives you confidence and peace of mind.”

Over the next couple weeks, Truck-Lite said it will release a series of training materials that will help you make the right lighting choices. Some of the materials will include a CSA and lighting brochure with FMCSA regulations, a dedicated website with frequently asked CSA lighting questions, and onsite customer training materials. “At major trade shows, we will showcase Truck-Lite’s Roadside Repair Kit with just the right amount of lighting and tools to do an emergency roadside repair to get you back on the road in minutes. We will be raffling off these kits in our booth at major trade shows throughout the year,” the company said.

In the meantime, Truck-Lite recommends three areas to consider:
• Upgrade to Truck-Lite Lifetime LED lighting and wiring systems whenever possible, since they provide greater reliability and dependability.
• Make a pre-trip inspection of your equipment mandatory and don’t leave the yard without it. If you don’t have a Truck-Lite light check kit, make sure you do a walk-around to double check the function of your lighting before heading out. Perhaps even clean the rear lighting with a soft cloth to make sure it will be as visible as possible.
• Carry a Truck-Lite Roadside Repair Kit (Part # 97392) in every vehicle for those times when roadside replacements are necessary. The repair kit includes only three LED lights and the necessary tools in a vinyl zippered 12- x 8.5-in. bag to do those emergency repairs. For a limited time, Truck-Lite has included a coupon to mail back for a Free LED license lamp kit.
