Redline Detection has been chosen by Volvo Trucks North America and Mack Trucks to provide essential equipment that will be used to service Volvo and Mack branded trucks at all Volvo and Mack dealer network locations, including the new Volvo Mack HD PowerSmoke Diagnostic Leak Detector.

HD PowerSmoke simulates the boost load of a heavy duty engine with the engine off, pinpointing all upstream component faults caused by those time-worn, jarred, cracked components that are the root cause of hard-to-diagnose after-treatment problems, the company explained. HD PowerSmoke creates a dense, highly visible vapor at a variable pressure in the 2-20 PSI range that can test the entire system and pinpoint unseen air leaks in minutes. The visible vapor is free of dyes and contaminants so it’s safe for the technician, safe for the vehicle, and safe for the environment, the company added.
