Mack Trucks has built its 100,000th truck equipped with its Mack GuardDog Connect integrated telematics solution.
Mack GuardDog Connect, which was first launched in 2014, is a proactive diagnostic and repair planning solution that monitors a truck’s critical fault codes, and is also the enabling technology for Mack Over The Air remote software and parameter updates.
The company says the technology will help decrease both distracted and dangerous driving, while giving fleet managers to communicate faster.
Ten5, Inc., a tech firm developing trucking communications and business intelligence solutions, announced the availability of its hands-free voice assistant and communications service. Ten5 says that its voice platform uses proprietary voice technology and AI to make it easier for drivers to communicate safely with fleet back offices while on the road. The company adds that fleet managers can respond to driver questions and concerns and also prioritize their responses so that the most important items are addressed first.
