Inside Accelera by Cummins, the Freightliner eM2 truck, International’s EV ecosystem and Peterbilt’s hydrogen fuel cell plan

All of that and more on the first episode of FE From the Floor: ACT Expo 2023.

Decarbonization in trucking is happening, but there’s no magic bullet to lowering emissions. That’s what makes ACT Expo so exciting–the truck equipment and technology of tomorrow is on display. Cleaner diesel, natural gas, hydrogen ICE, battery electric, hydrogen fuel cells–it’s all here. We decided to bring it all to you in our FE From the Floor video series that talks to the biggest names in the industry and kicks the sustainability tires of trucking’s latest environmentally-minded solutions that aim to bring real ROI to fleet operations. Watch the first episode of FE From the Floor: ACT Expo 2023 above and stay tuned tomorrow and Friday for more episodes.

Show notes!

We kick things off with Srikanth Padmanabhan, president, Cummins Engine Business, for his view of sustainability in the trucking industry and then check in with Brian Wilson, general manager, electrified components, Accelera By Cummins to answer the big question: What exactly is Accelera By Cummins?

Then we’re off to the Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) booth where Samantha Parlier, director, brand marketing, DTNA, and Katie Rabideau, eMobility product marketing manager, DTNA, walk us through the launch of the Freightliner eM2 medium-duty battery-electric truck.

Then we’re back at the Cummins booth to answer the question: What happened to Meritor? That leads us to an electric axle and electric motor conversation with Jon Bennet, general manager of ePowertrain, Accelera By Cummins.

Over in the International Trucks booth, Michael Grahe, executive vice president, operations, Navistar, paints a picture of the OEM’s EV ecosystem. Afterward, we pop over to Peterbilt to get the latest on the OEM’s hydrogen fuel cell commercialization plan and talk about electric refuse truck developments.

And that’s just the first episode! Click here to check out all of our other ACT Expo coverage.
