Alliance Tire Americas announced the Aeolus HN808 premium line haul trailer tire has been verified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to meet its SmartWay Transport Partnership criteria.
The HN808 was approved under a new, more stringent set of guidelines enacted last September, according to the company.
“Verification through the SmartWay partnership is another step in Aeolus’ commitment to providing U.S. truckers with tires that help them become more efficient, more profitable and more environmentally sustainable,” said John Hull, national truck tire sales manager for Alliance Tire Americas, the U.S. distributor of Aeolus tires. “It’s a perfect complement to the new Aeolus Green Tire initiative.
“The Aeolus HN808 was already widely respected for its consistent footprint and excellent traction on wet or dry pavement,” Hull added. “Verification under the SmartWay partnership highlights the fact that the HN808 delivers environmental sustainability as well as economic sustainability.”
According to the tire maker, the Aeolus HN808 is available in a variety of popular sizes, including 11R22.5, 11R24.5, 285/75R24.5 and 295/75R22.5.
