Alliance Truck Parts adds EZ-Assist clutch for toughest jobs

The company's EZ-Assist clutch is specifically designed to meet the demands of work truck applications that require severe torque transfer for extremely heavy loads. The new model in the line is rated at 2,050 ft.-lbs. of torque. All are backed by a one-year unlimited mileage warranty.

Alliance Truck Parts said it has added an EZ-Assist clutch specifically designed to meet the demands of work truck applications that require severe torque transfer for extremely heavy loads.

Rated at 2,050 ft.-lbs. of torque, the new model in the Alliance Truck Parts’ EZ-Assist line of clutches fills a specific need for the most demanding applications, including gravel and heavy construction hauling, logging and mining. Alliance Truck Parts all-makes EZ-Assist clutches are built of all new components for superior performance, according to the company.

“Extremely heavy loads require heavy-duty solutions,” said Daniel Haggerty, director of parts marketing for Daimler Trucks North America. “This clutch fills a market need for our severe-duty customers. Alliance clutches are designed for trucks and owners who need a tough, good quality clutch at an affordable price, and we’re pleased to offer a full line of products for our customers that deliver an excellent value.”

The Alliance Truck Parts EZ-Assist line of clutches require 35% less pedal effort than traditional cast angle spring clutches to engage and disengage, which means less leg fatigue and increased driver comfort at the end of a long day on the job, according to the maker. EZ-Assist clutches are available in torque ratings of 1,400, 1,650, 1,850 and now 2,050 for any trucking application.

Alliance Truck Parts EZ-Assist and cast angle spring clutches feature dual plate construction with ceramic facings and an efficient seven spring design. With a torque capacity of 1,400 and 1,650 ft. lbs., Alliance’s EZ-Assist and cast angle spring clutches feature superior dampers, making them ideally suited for older engines, while its clutches with a torque capacity of 1,850 and the new 2,050 support older, as well as EPA ’07 and newer vehicles, the company said.

All Alliance Truck Parts clutches are backed by a one-year, unlimited mileage warranty, the maker added.
