ASA Electronics, an international manufacturer and supplier of medium- and heavy-duty audio and video electronics, introduced the Voyager OBS713RCM Heavy Duty Blind Zone Camera System to the heavy truck market. According to the company, this system, complete with a durable 7-in. heavy-duty LCD monitor, a right side high-performance camera, a monitor mount, and 25 ft. of cabling, is specifically made for eliminating dangerous blind spots for commercial trucking applications.
Over-the-road fleets may also realize a dual benefit of safety and fuel savings, the company said, noting that the Voyager Blind Zone Cameras allow them to remove forward front fender mirrors, leading to a reduction in drag and an increase in fuel economy.
