Set to arrive in dealer showrooms in fall 2014, the new Chevrolet 2015 City Express cargo van will mark the OEM’s first entry into the small van segment in the U.S. and Canada. The City Express, be available in two trim levels, is powered by a 2.0-liter 16-valve DOHC four-cylinder engine rated at 131 HP and 139 lb./ft. of torque. Also standard are a Continuously Variable Transmission, four-wheel antilock brakes, 15-in. steel wheels and 185/60R15 tires.
With 122.7 cubic feet of cargo space, the City Express has 40/60 split rear cargo doors (180-degree opening) and dual sliding side doors with a range of window options. Inside the vans there are 20 integrated reinforced cargo mounting points, D-Rings on the floor to allow securing of cargo from side to side and front to back, and a floor cover for the entire cargo area. The vans are also upfit ready with weld nuts for attaching bins and have six exterior roof rack mounting points.
City Express will qualify for Chevrolet’s Business Choice program.
