Craftsmen Trailer purchases Iowa Utility dealership

Trailer makers Utility Trailer Manufacturing Co. have announced that Craftsmen Trailer, LLC has acquired the Utility dealership located in Davenport, Iowa from Thompson Truck and Trailer.

“We are excited about this acquisition,” said Lou Helmsing, president of Craftsmen Trailer. “This is our third dealer location, which expands our ability to serve our customers with improved access to aftermarket parts and service, as well as a larger inventory of both new and used equipment, in Eastern Iowa and North-Central Illinois.”

Founded in 1982 in St. Louis, Missouri, Craftsmen is a regional full service Utility dealership with three locations—St. Louis; Sikeston, Missouri; and Davenport, Iowa.
