A new 2012 tour trailer from Detroit Diesel Corp. is scheduled to visit dealerships and trade shows throughout the year. The updated trailer, pulled by a 2014 Freightliner Cascadia Evolution tractor equipped with a Detroit DD15 engine, showcases the complete line of Detroit products, including engines, steer and tandem axles, as well as the new Detroit DT12 automated manual transmission.
The trailer also has several new informational videos and interactive displays, including a touch screen feature that enables customers to view the wide range of vocations and trucks where Detroit engines and components can be found. An interactive walkthrough of Detroit Virtual Technician, which provides data on stops, idle time, speed, location, path, fuel consumption and more also is available.
“Our new tour trailer visually and interactively showcases our total vehicle integration approach, showing customers the full breadth of our solutions,” said Brad Williamson, manager, engine and component marketing, Daimler Trucks North America.
