The company has three sizes of the product in stock – its FKB04, FKB05 and FKB06 – and will introduce the FKB08 in May.
According to Donaldson, the new air cleaners provide a space- and cost-saving option for diesel-engine manufacturers in the agriculture, construction, mining and industrial-engine markets. The product line, introduced in March 2005, is lighter, more efficient and easier to install and replace than competing products, the company said.
FKB-Series air cleaners effectively reduce contaminants flowing into the air intake system, providing a high level of engine protection from harmful contaminants and increasing engine performance and fuel efficiency, the maker added. The products’ two-stage design features a built-in pre-cleaner that separates up to 85 percent of airborne contaminants.
Because of its compact design, the FKB-Series air cleaners meet OEM size and performance requirements. The FKB’s plastic housing and durable construction enables its installation in all types of operating environments and temperature ranges from -40° to 82°C, operating in medium-dust conditions with engine air flow from 70 to 365 cfm, the company said.
