BorgWarner Thermal Systems fans and fan drives will be standard equipment on all Freightliner LLC Class 8 trucks, beginning January 1, 2007. The three-year agreement between the two companies is designed to provide customers with a value-added product design.

“We are proud to be chosen by Freightliner as their partner to supply fan drives and fans,” explains Keith Pierson, Director, Global Sales, BorgWarner Thermal Systems. ”This confirms that BorgWarner Thermal Systems, in collaboration with Freightliner LLC, has developed high quality product technology, which is needed to meet stringent EPA 2007 emission regulations.”

Freightliner Class 8 trucks will be equipped with the KYSOR On/Off fan drive, which features dynamic torque capacity, resulting in improved cooling capability, the company said. The trucks also will use the new X-Series fan from BorgWarner, which enables Freightliner’s heavy-duty vehicles to meet the North American emissions standards while at the same time optimizing cooling performance.
