Hino’s Insight earns Top 20 product ranking

Hino Insight was named one of Heavy Duty Trucking's Top 20 new products for 2011. The system provides GPS-based, remote fleet management capabilities to drive efficiencies, safety, security, customer satisfaction and green initiatives for fleet operations of all sizes, the company said.

Hino Trucks’ Insight, which the company said is “the most advanced web-based location and telematics solution in the medium duty commercial truck market,” was named one of Heavy Duty Trucking’s Top 20 new products for 2011.

Selected from hundreds of products and services, this year’s products were judged on their innovation, ability to address top industry issues, and potential to improve a fleet’s bottom line through maintenance savings, improvements in safety or efficiency. The winners were chosen by HDT’s editors, 2011 Truck Fleet Innovators, and a panel of veteran fleet maintenance professionals from the ATA’s Technology & Maintenance Council.

Hino’s Insight provides GPS-based, remote fleet management capabilities to fleet operations of all sizes – driving efficiencies, safety, security, customer satisfaction and green initiatives. Insight includes a mix of premium, exclusive services ranging from route tracking, geofencing, advanced vehicle administration and planned maintenance management to real-time critical Hino proprietary diagnostics alerts, custom fleet performance dashboard reporting, and remote door unlock telemetry, according to the company.

“We are honored that Hino’s telematics solution is being recognized in the industry as a top performer,” said Vernon Allen, vice president of national accounts for Hino. “Hino Insight is more than simply a total operating cost reducing agent and CRM tool, it lends to safe vehicle operation and environmental standards.”

The “Dashboard” main page of the hinoInsight.com web portal is specifically designed for fleet managers to gain a daily snapshot of their fleets’ critical diagnostics status and performance against established targets, Hino said. The dashboard allows fleet managers to simultaneously access real-time vehicle and driver-related information of key metrics.

The integration of WebTech Wireless’ fleet management solutions expertise and network of telecommunications industry leaders – Garmin, AT&T and Google – gives Insight versatility to accommodate the individual needs of fleets of all sizes, and fully customized vocational solutions for applications such as snow plow, waste management, and fuel delivery, Hino added.
