Hino Trucks announced to its dealers that the 2007 EPA compliant engine surcharge will be $3,950.

Hino Trucks announced to its dealers that the 2007 EPA compliant engine surcharge will be $3,950.

“This announcement places our dealers in a very advantageous position against the competition who have announced 2007 EPA surcharges in the range of $4,500 to $5,700,” said Nick Vermet, senior vice president of sales, marketing and customer support, “Because of our ability to share technology with trucks in Japan, to meet the Japan 2005 emission regulations, we are able to provide our customers with a proven, cost effective solution.”

Hino Trucks has scheduled a series of 2008 model year launch events for its dealers and customers. During these launch events, drivers and fleet owners are invited to stop by to test drive and learn about Hino’s new 2008 model year trucks. Here are the schedules for those events: Orlando’s Universal Studios – Nov. 8, 3-5:30 p.m.; Dallas’ Texas Stadium – Nov. 15, 3-5:30 p.m.; Fontana’s California Speedway – Dec. 13, 3-5:30 p.m.

Hino Trucks will begin producing its 2008 model year line up at its Long Beach, Calif., plant in early March 2007. Hino Trucks compete in the Class 4 through 7 light and medium-duty truck markets.
