Mack Trucks Inc. said it has paid tribute to the past, celebrated the present and cast a positive eye to the future by honoring the 50-year milestone at its Hagerstown, Md., powertrain components plant.
“For half a century, the heart of every Mack truck has originated in Hagerstown,” said Kevin Flaherty, Mack senior vice president, U.S. and Canada. “We’ve always been an integrated manufacturer, with engines, transmissions and axles specifically designed to work together. Delivering on the Mack brand promise of reliability, durability and application excellence starts with the powertrain – and our hats are off to everyone in Hagerstown as they celebrate this milestone.”
Mack Trucks said it has provided its customers with innovative transportation solutions for more than a century. Mack trucks are sold and serviced through an extensive distribution network in more than 45 countries. Its trucks and diesel engines sold in North America are assembled in the United States. Mack manufacturing locations are certified to the internationally recognized ISO 9001 standard for quality and ISO 14001 standard for environmental management systems, the truck maker added.
