Mack partners with WyoTech to offer diesel technician training

Mack Trucks has partnered with WyoTech to offer advanced diesel technician training programs that focus specifically on Mack Trucks, including engines, electrical and electronics, emissions, powertrain and chassis components. The programs will be held at the WyoTech-Blairsville, Pa., campus beginning in the spring of 2013.

Mack Trucks said it is partnering with WyoTech to offer advanced diesel technician training programs. Enrolled students will be trained specifically to work on Mack Trucks – including engines, electrical and electronics, emissions, powertrain and chassis components – at the WyoTech-Blairsville, Pa., campus beginning in the spring of 2013.

“Our technologically advanced trucks require technicians who understand how all of the systems and components work together,” said John Walsh, Mack vice president of marketing. “We worked with WyoTech to develop a Mack-specific curriculum so that our dealers have more highly skilled technicians to consider in their hiring decisions.”

WyoTech is a division of Corinthian Colleges Inc., one of the largest post-secondary education companies in North America. With six campuses located throughout the U.S., WyoTech offers degree and diploma programs in the fields of automotive, diesel, collision/refinishing, motorcycle, marine and construction trades.
