Mack Trucks has unveiled a 12-liter natural gas-powered Pinnacle Axle Back model built initially for UPS. Built for regional haul and LTL operations, the Pinnacle is equipped with a Cummins Westport ISX12 G engine with either LNG or compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel systems.
The expansion to the OEM’s natural gas line-up for on-highway operations joins natural gas-powered TerraPro Low Entry and TerraPro Cabover refuse models. Later this year, Mack plans to introduce a natural gas-powered version of the Granite truck.
