Michelin Retread Technologies (MRT) has introduced the Michelin XDN2 Pre-Mold retread, designed as an all-weather drive retread that the company said is optimized for exceptional traction and mileage.
The XDN2 retread features patented Matrix Siping Technology, delivering winter and wet traction from more than 1,300 biting edges. The retread is also engineered with a two-layer compound; the top layer designed for wear and traction and the bottom layer for maintaining cool internal casing temperatures for longer tread and casing life.
The retread’s wide, open shoulder grooves deliver added traction without compromising tread life, the maker said. The retread is intended for long haul and regional use and is currently available in 220, 230 and 240 mm sizes.
