PPG Commercial Coatings has introduced DuraBull heavy-duty protective coating, which the company said provides performance and durability protection for heavy-duty fleet vehicles through its advanced aliphatic polyurea coating technology.

The coating is corrosion-resistant and extremely effective in protecting heavy-duty truck high-use work areas such as truck beds, trailer floors, running boards, steps and deck lids where non-skid surfaces are critical, PPG added. The new product is also designed to provide a variety of texturing for the inside of cabs, cabinets and storage spaces. It incorporates the pioneering technology PPG first introduced to the automotive OEM market in a factory-applied truck bedliner. That technology has now been refined by PPG for durability and resistance to corrosion, and the damage that tools, equipment, debris, abrasives and chemicals can cause.

“DuraBull is a great addition to our line of protection and anti-corrosion fleet products,” says John Lewis, PPG commercial brand manager. “Factory-tough DuraBull provides superb exterior durability and exceptional fade resistance. In weatherometer testing, DuraBull outlasted the competition, retaining more than twice the gloss of its nearest competitor at the 586-hour mark. Yet, it’s lighter in weight and requires less material and labor to apply.”

Product features include: impact and crack resistance; superior performance at 1/3 the aftermarket film build; dries to the touch in minutes; and a non-skid surface to keep cargo in place and avoid slips. Available in safety gray and black, with tinted color capability and a wide variety of available finish textures.
