SAF-Holland opens aftermarket distribution center

The company's new Aftermarket Parts Distribution Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, will supply replacement parts to SAF-Holland distribution centers and customers throughout the U.S., Mexico and Canada. The center stocks over 3,000 different parts, assemblies and service kits and employs 11 service personnel.

SAF-Holland recently opened its new 85,000-sq.-ft. Aftermarket Parts Distribution Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. The facility will supply replacement parts to SAF-Holland distribution centers and customers throughout the U.S., Mexico and Canada. The location of the new center provides the logistical capability to enhance efficiency and significantly reduce delivery times to distributors and end-users, the company added.

Carl Mesker, vice president of SAF-Holland’s North American Aftermarket Business Unit, talked about the company’s purpose in opening the new facility: “Service. We invested in this central distribution warehouse to improve our level of service to our distributors, and by doing so, improve the level of service to our end-customers.”

The new distribution center stocks over 3,000 different parts, assemblies and service kits and employs 11 service personnel. Located in close proximity to major Cincinnati freeways and the Cincinnati International Airport, the facility features 21 dock high positions, with 21-ft. ceiling clearances, to maximize the facility’s shipping and receiving efficiency, according to the company.

“The new facility will provide more efficient parts delivery to our distribution network,” said Jason Heath, marketing manager for the North American Aftermarket Business Unit. “Distributor order-to-delivery time is projected to improve considerably, thereby reducing the time customers will need to wait for parts.”

Orders placed now and will be processed from the new distribution center. The exception will be Full Truck Load orders, which will continue to be shipped directly from regional SAF-Holland plants, the company said. The new center is located at 426 Circle Freeway Drive, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
