Talbert rolls out versatile 65-ton modular trailer

Talbert Manufacturing has added its 2+3+2 65-Ton HRG East Coast hydraulic gooseneck trailer, designed with the ability to add a tag- or pin-on axle to allow a 3+3+2 axle configuration. Its design includes a flip extension to accommodate a tandem-axle jeep dolly, permitting it for use in all states at full rating.

The 2+3+2 65-Ton HRG East Coast hydraulic gooseneck trailer is now available from Talbert Manufacturing for general construction, heavy-haul trucking, and oilfield operations. The new trailer is designed with the ability to add a tag- or pin-on axle to allow a 3+3+2 axle configuration, and its design includes a flip extension to accommodate a tandem-axle jeep dolly, permitting it for use in all states at full rating.

Featuring 60-in. axle spacing, as well as an airlift on axle 3 and a chain lift on axles 1, 2, 4, and 5, the trailer is capable of running with 3, 4, or 5 axles in a row without the booster. Additionally, the trailer can be equipped with an optional Cleral onboard scale system.

Offered in a 28-ft. deck length, the 65-Ton HRG is rated for 65 tons in any 14 ft. of deck, and can accommodate an additional 10-ft. section of deck, varying in type from beam to drop side. The trailer’s loaded deck height is 22 in. and it features an 8-ft., 6-in. deck width.

The 65-Ton HRG trailer is built with T-1, 100,000-PSI minimum yield steel, an upper-flange reinforcement on the deck, and auxiliary crossmembers, Talbert added. The trailer also features air-ride suspension and connections for a PTO system. Options include an onboard power pack to operate the hydraulic system, removable fenders and polished aluminum wheels.
