The V3R telematics platform for work truck fleets and construction equipment has been released by Zonar. The system provides 3G network GPS tracking and reports and alerts for asset location, speed, idle time and geo-fences. An automatic hour meter, based on ignition status, tracks the need for preventive maintenance and provides data for billable hours.
The V3R is compatible with Zonar’s electronic vehicle inspection reporting (EVIR) system for automated visual truck and equipment inspection reporting. The platform also integrates with and transmits data from other Zonar modules and products, including electronic inspection data captured with the company’s 2020 tablet and 2010 inspection tool.
The V3R is housed in hard casing, making it dust tight and able to withstand high-pressure and steam cleaning, and has sealed water tight connectors. The device can withstand temperatures from -40 degrees to 85 degrees Celsius and will function properly in environments up to 95% humidity. Flexible options include magnetic attachment or bolt installation.
