Road Ready enters trailer telematics program with Vaughan Xpress

Road Ready from Clarience Technologies, LLC has entered into an agreement with Vaughan Xpress to integrate its trailer telematics system into the fleet’s trailers.

The Road Ready smart trailer system offers fleets a complete overview of a trailer’s environment, both inside and out, using a suite of customizable wireless sensors, Clarience Technologies says, adding that the master control unit’s (MCU) long-life battery allows Road Ready to gather data from untethered trailers. The user interface displays trailer location and condition in real time and automatically develops reports to gain insight on fleet asset utilization.

Since the partnership formed in January 2020, Vaughan Xpress has installed the Road Ready system on its 300 trailers, including both solar-powered and hardwired Master Control Units (MCU) as well as temperature sensors in the fleet’s refrigerated trailers.

Isaac Instruments announced it is celebrating its 25th anniversary as a provider of telemetry data to the transportation industry. As part of the yearlong celebration, Isaac unveiled a 25th anniversary logo and is planning anniversary-themed giveaways at trucking industry events throughout 2024.

“Isaac Instruments has 25 years’ experience developing technology for vehicles, with many of these years focused on research and development of OEM prototypes,” explained Jacques DeLarochelliere, co-founder and chief executive officer of Isaac. “We were initially involved in projects that were extremely sophisticated and complex.”
