Penray said its line of cold weather products can eliminate gelling, reduce down time, and also improve fuel efficiency, even with extremely cold temperatures and record snowfalls blanketing the country.

“Penray’s fuel treatments and cold weather products are all you need to keep your trucks running during this extreme weather,” said Joel Gresmer, Penray’s national sales manager for its powerfleet division. “Our customers demand products that will keep their fleets running when the temperatures dip below zero. Many of our products are specifically designed for use with biodiesel and we have winter and year-round solutions for diesel and gasoline plus bulk treatments, emergency needs and peripheral products.”

Penray’s line of winter products includes:

Winter Pow-R Plus for biodiesel and Winter Pow-R Plus diesel fuel treatment. Penray said both are ULSD compliant, prevent gelling of diesel fuel and prevent ice crystal formation, reduce cold filter plug point by as much as 30ºF., help enhance cetane and also help improve fuel economy, improve cold weather starting, stabilize and prevent corrosion, help reduce emissions, and help improve lubricity.

Penray’s Winter Thaw Emergency diesel fuel treatment quickly dissolves already gelled fuel, reduces clogging of fuel filters, prevents ice crystal build-up in fuel lines and filters by disbursing moisture (32 fl. oz. treats up to 25 gal. of fuel.), eliminates hard starting, helps improve combustion and is 100% compatible with low sulfur fuel and fuel blends, the company said.

Winter blend bulk fuel treatments, available in ULSD and biodiesel versions, help prevent fuel gelling/waxing with a pour point depressant /wax crystal modifier and stop fuel icing via water dispersant, according to the maker.

Penray’s Fuel Prep year round fuel treatment is ready for use in biodiesel and is ULSD compliant, the company said. It combats sludge formation, bacterial and fungal growth, cleans injectors, and lubricates fuel systems. Additionally, the company said it prevents corrosion and prepares fuel tanks for winter conditions and storage, and conditions less stable diesel fuels by allowing them to burn cleaner and more completely, thus improving emissions and injector spray patterns.

This product is also available in a concentrated formula for bulk tanks.
