Daimler Trucks delivers 50,000th Freightliner New Cascadia

Daimler Trucks reaches the mark of 50,000 vehicles sold in the U.S. with its Freightliner New Cascadia since production started in January 2017. The 50,000th New Cascadia was handed over to the customer Cargo Transporters, based in Claremont, N.C. Currently, Cargo Transporters operates more than 550 Freightliner trucks, now including over 120 New Cascadia. Daimler Trucks noted that its market share of Class 6 to 8 trucks, which includes Freightliner and Western Star brands, is around 40% of the medium- and heavy-duty market.

The announcement came at Daimler Trucks International Commercial Vehicle Show (IAA) 2018 Produce Experience event where the global company’s brands gathered in a massive hanger at the Hanover Airport in Germany. Click here for an overview of all Daimler Trucks’ IAA announcements.
