Truck maintenance recommendations for the spring season

Brian Screeton of Bendix talks about what maintenance practices fleets should put into place for their trucks, trailers and components during the spring.

Spring has sprung. In the Midwest, where I live, that means it’s that wonderful time of the year where it goes from being cold every single day to only being cold some days. Birds are chirping, flowers are blooming, bees are back to threaten those of us who are allergic—it’s all happening.

For fleets, this time of year means that you’re mostly out of the winter maintenance season, with its focus on heating, washing the salt off of your trucks, making sure your tires are equipped for snow, and other things of that nature. But what maintenance practices should you be working on as the seasons change?

For an answer, I sat down with Brian Screeton, manager of technical service training at Bendix, and I asked him what maintenance practices fleets should put into place for their trucks, trailers and components during the spring. Watch the video above for the interview.
