The North American aftermarket business of BorgWarner Turbo and Emissions Systems has introduced Glow Plugs for diesel-powered light duty vehicles. The company says BorgWarner glow plugs enable an instant and safe cold start of the diesel, even in extremely low temperatures. And the faster a diesel ignites, the quicker it runs at top performance.

According to the maker, a set of BorgWarner glow plugs will lift a diesel-powered vehicle from zero to take-off within seconds, even in freezing weather. And because they are engineered to bring a diesel engine to its operating temperature quickly, there is less wear and tear, resulting in lower maintenance costs.

Every BorgWarner glow plug undergoes 100 percent functional testing before it leaves the factory the manufacturer said. The heating coil is precisely placed in the glow plug and the heating rod tip is filled with high quality magnesium to ensure dependable performance. BorgWarner glow plugs are covered by a 12-month, 100,000 mile warranty.

BorgWarner glow plugs are available through the growing network of BorgWarner Turbo and Emissions Systems service partners in the U.S. and Canada. To locate a distributor, visit the website: www.turbodriven.com.
