M & R Tire products released its new Magnum Plus tire balancing microbeads, which the company said is an economical and reliable way to keep tires balanced.
One packet of Magnum Plus will keep a tire balanced throughout its life, replacing the cost of multiple balances with fixed weights. Consisting of large, ultra-smooth coated microbeads, Magnum Plus works with the rotation of the tire and wheel by continuously adjusting to the outward force created by the heavy spot on the tire and neutralizing the imbalance, M & R said.
The beads are larger and smoother than other balancing materials and are specially coated to “enhance flowability” and avoid sticking to the inside of the tire, according to the company. The beads are durable so that they won’t change shape or size, and do not clump so they continue to deliver accurate balance throughout the life of a tire.
M & R said the beads are compatible with tire pressure monitoring systems, as well. As as added protection for air loss, the company includes a TPMS-compatible nickel-plated valve core and valve cap with each packet of the beads.
