PPG Delfleet One paint system approved by Daimler Trucks North America

Daimler Truck s North America (DTNA) has approved the PPG Defleet One paint system for warranty and aftermarket repairs on its Freightliner and Western Star trucks.

As an integrated system of undercoats, topcoats and clearcoats, the company says the PPG Delfleet One paint system was developed to meet the color-matching and productivity needs of aftermarket users.

The system offers volatile organic compound (VOC) ratings of 1.5 lbs. per gallon for basecoat, direct gloss and matte finishes. Undercoats and clearcoats have VOC ratings as low as 1.4 lbs. per gallon. As a result, the system can reduce VOC emissions by 57% compared to typical 3.5 VOC commercial paint systems, according to PPG.

One Nexus Group acquires Commercial Truck Training

One Nexus Group has announced the acquisition of American commercial and fleet dealership training provider Commercial Truck Training.

Founded by Ken Taylor, Commercial Truck Training has been in the business of dealer sales training since 1989. Alongside Taylor, Will Brogan, vice president of operations at Commercial Truck Training, has also joined the One Nexus team.
